Dr Mhairi Livingston
My
name is Mhairi Livingston, I live in Glasgow. I am 46 years
old and started out life as an Immunologist, studying the
immune system and researching diseases. I lived in under-developed
countries due to my husband's job so came back to the UK
to study nursing. I worked in nursing research for years
but then decided to take up Stock Broking as I became a
single parent and could no longer afford to continue my
research career. I hated working in an office with the rigid
timetable, numerous trips to and from London leaving at
5am and not getting home till 9pm at night, very little
annual leave and no compassion regarding my personal circumstances
as a single parent with three children. I found Herbalife
in January 2002 when my friend recommended it to me. I was
at a low ebb health wise, very run down and depressed about
my life. I had recently had an eye operation, which had
gone badly wrong and nearly lost my sight in one eye. I
started taking the Herbalife inner nutrition products, lost
10lbs in weight in my first month - didn't even think I
was overweight, and my vision has improved dramatically
over the last year. I feel younger than I've felt for 20
years, my shape has changed, I am full of energy and never
get sick, never get spots and my hair and nails grow much
faster. I use all the Herbalife inner and outer nutrition
products and have no hesitation in recommending them to
everybody! I am also very excited, as a scientist, that
we have an excellent team of scientific and medical experts
producing the products. These include Dr Lou Ignaro, a Nobel
Prize winner for Medicine in 1998 and Dr David Heber, top
nutritionist at the University of California who is heading
up the new Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Nutrition
there, dedicated to the study of herbal nutrition and funded
by Herbalife.
I
came into the business in January last year at the Supervisor
level and quickly developed a strong retail base in order
to bring in an income of £800-1000 per month. I was
made redundant from my stock broking job in April last year
so have been doing Herbalife full time since then. I really
enjoy my business. I am self-employed but with the backing
of a billion dollar company to support me. I take enormous
pride in helping improve the health and financial well-being
of as many people as I can. I am now on the fifth level
of the marketing plan and aim to get to the top by the end
of next year so that I am financially independent for the
rest of my life. So I can pay off all my debts, have no
mortgages, have a home in Cyprus, my dream car and give
my children a lifestyle they could only dream of. I currently
earn around £3000 per month - more than I earned as
a full time stockbroker and doctor of science! So far this
year I have travelled to Nice, Cyprus, Holland, Majorca,
Marbella and Paris - all on Herbalife business - awesome.
I am building a strong team of like-minded individuals throughout
the UK who wish to control their own destiny and be accountable
for their future success and personal development. I really
love the team spirit we have within the Bevan International
Group in Herbalife and I regard myself as extremely fortunate
and blessed to have found this opportunity of a lifetime.
